About Our Company

Ronald W. Almonte, president and responsible managing employee of R. W. Almonte Enterprises, was born and raised in Hawai`i and has more than 40 years experience in the construction industry. Ron started by working for his father, Edward Almonte, who owned and operated Eddie's Painting on the island of O`ahu from 1955 to 1979. At his father's side, Ronald learned patience, a love of the finest quality craftsmanship, and a dedication to pleasing his clients.

After graduating from Kalani High School, Ronald moved to the Big Island in 1971 and joined the Hawaii Carpenters Union Apprenticeship Program.After honing his carpentry skills on a wide variety of jobs, Ronald, bitten by the family's entrepreneurial bug, decided to strike out on his own.

In 1988, he earned his Hawaii state "C-5" and "C-6" contractor's license, to become a contractor specializing in carpentry framing and remodeling.

In 1998, he incorporated, taking his present position as president and responsible managing employee for R. W. Almonte Enterprises, Inc. The company marked 1999 by obtaining a Hawai`i state general contractors license ("B" license). The upgraded license allows the company to further serve clients by coordinating and overseeing all aspects of any construction project.

R. W. Almonte Enterprises Inc. is a family-owned and run company that takes pride in its work and knows the satisfaction of doing the very best job possible. We do business with aloha.

Some notable company projects include:

• renovation of the iconic Willows Restaurant in the Mo`ili`ili area of Honolulu; 
  
• a facelift of Hauula Kai Shopping Center on Kamehameha Highway in Hau`ula;
  
• construction of the guard station, 14th tee comfort station, clubhouse covered walkway, renovation of the golf pro shop and dining rooms at Luana Hills Country Club;
  
• construction of the offices of Hawai`i Kai Physical Therapy and Sports Science Clinic at Hawai`i Kai Shopping Center;
  
• custom renovations of numerous retail spaces at the Gentry Pacific Design Center;
  
• construction of a custom country home on the Big Island;
